To offer accessible recognition of prior learning and competencies services to all residents of Côte-Nord, Tadoussac and Blanc-Sablon, including the northern towns and Île d’Anticosti, the area now has a regional centre. The centre offers reception and information services for all those who wish to learn more about the recognition of prior learning and competencies services, and also to obtain support in preparing a file. The request for the recognition of prior learning and competencies services will be analyzed and referred to one of the region’s five school boards or two CEGEPs. The objective is to respond to the needs of the candidates by providing services that are as close as possible to their home. The centre works closely with the regional offices of Emploi-Québec and the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport, providing access to vast amounts of relevant information.
