The Chaudière-Appalaches region is known for its dynamism and the entrepreneurial spirit of its citizens. The area covers 15 216 square kilometers and has 136 municipalities. The region also has a population of 400 000, and extends between the St. Lawrence River, across from Québec City to the United States. It is also bounded by the Centre-du-Québec, Estrie and Bas-Saint-Laurent regions.

The regional recognition of prior learning and competencies services consist of eight educational institutions: the Commission scolaire de la Beauce-Etchemin, the Commission scolaire de la Côte-du-Sud, the Commission scolaire des Appalaches, the Commission scolaire des Navigateurs, Cégep Beauce-Appalaches, Cégep de la Pocatière pour le Centre d’études collégiales de Montmagny, Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon and Cégep de Thetford. They are joined by the following major partners: Emploi-Québec, the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles and the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport.

To make the recognition of prior learning and competencies process more accessible, the regional organization has set up regional telephone and electronic reception services. A reception officer will refer the candidate to the educational institution’s closest RPLC counselors. Whether it be for general information or to receive recognition of prior learning and competencies services, the counselor can respond to all needs. Partners in the field of training or employment can also find answers to their questions by communicating with this reception service.

You can reach the regional office by telephone at 1-866-406-6868 or by e-mail at: info@rac12.qc.ca.
