In the heart of Québec, in the centre of the St. Lawrence Plain, roughly halfway between Québec City and Montréal, the Centre-du-Québec region boarders the river to the north and is supported by the Appalachians to the south. It covers five regional county municipalities, 81 municipalities and two aboriginal communities. The Centre-du-Québec region has a population of 218 502 people and is an area rich in culture and tradition. Based on a diversified economy, the region has a high rate of job creation.
The regional recognition of prior learning and competencies services of Centre-du-Québec are made up of the region’s three school boards and two CEGEPs: the Commission scolaire de Bois-Francs, the Commission scolaire des Chênes, the Commission scolaire de Riveraine, Cégep de Drummondville and Cégep de Victoriaville.
