The regional recognition of prior learning and competencies services in the Capitale-Nationale region stems from the 10 education institutions and the following three government departments: the Commission scolaires de Charlevoix, des Découvreurs, des Premières-Seigneuries, de Portneuf and de Central Quebec; Cégep François-Xavier-Garneau, Limoilou and Sainte-Foy, as well as the Centre d’études collégiales in Charlevoix; the directions régionales de la Capitale-Nationale; the Ministères de l’Éducation du Loisir et du Sport, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale, de l’Immigration and des Communautés culturelles.

The area covered by the regional services is located on the edge of the St-Lawrence River between Portneuf (to the west) and Charlevoix (to the east), marked off by the Saguenay River. The majority of the schools are located at the centre of the territory.

This inter-level educational service consists of a central information and communication office and service points located in the region’s 10 public schools. The office receives requests for information or services from different clients and, depending on their needs, guides individuals to a resource person at the proper service points. Requests should be addressed to the regional information and communication office to facilitate the process for individuals. However, individuals can also apply at the school closest to their home to obtain preliminary information. Depending on the situation, they will be directed to the resource that can best answer their needs.

For information, it is easy to contact us by telephone at 418-643-7934, ext. 3312 or by e-mail at:  rac03.accueil@oricom.ca.
